Time Sure Flies!

Wow, has it really been since July that I blogged? Well, since then we have begun a new year of homeschool, tried public school, returned to homeschool, started Cheerleading with Ashley, celebrated our oldest daughter, Lauren's, 13th birthday, traveled to the Georgia mountains, and more! We are about to celebrate my brother n law's re-enlistment with the Air Force for a 2nd term as well as our son, Jordan's, 12th birthday in November. Our baby, Ashley, will be 10 in December! Speaking of time flying....OH! By the way, my brother n law, Bryan Roy, and his wife Christi, just had a beautiful baby boy, Cody Marc Roy. He is amazingly precious and joins his equally precious 18 mo. old sister, Haley Ann Roy. We certainly enjoy them!!

Chris and I are reading and listening to several experienced parents regarding raising Godly young women as we are approaching that age with our eldest daughter. We feel so inadequate, but know that God will guide us in this undertaking. We want our daughters to be prepared for being Godly wives and mothers in service to the King! We want them to remain pure and faithful and obedient to Christ. Oh, how much we want for them to find honor and contentment in staying home and rearing a family instead of following the secular vision of fulfillment. We also want our son to be prepared to lead his family and allow his wife to be at home taking care of her family. We fully realize that we may seem radical to some, but hey, we are homeschoolers, so we are used to that! We also realize that some may even say that we are limiting our daughter's futures by preparing them in this way, and rearing them with that purpose...but we say nay! We feel it is an honor and priviledge to serve our husband's and families and we can learn to do it grace, contentment, and peace and happiness! It has taken me a looooooooooooong time to reach the point where I can honestly say this...but oh how faithful the Lord is! He has gently guided me and allowed me innumerable mistakes, and continued to steer me to the place I am today. Now I see how gracious He is to allow me that time while leading me here. I am sure at times He thought I would never wake up! Hee hee....like a wayward child, I was! Well, here we are! Enough rambling....

Well, I am working on my homebusiness which is fulfilling as well as allows me to help my husband and also teaches my children an entrepenurial mindset. It is fun as well beneficial to my family. I love teaching others, working with others, and promoting a healthy environment. I am working on being more fit and healthy myself as well as encouraging my children to make wiser choices (and Chris, lol). We are working together to make wiser choices in our eating, exercising, and lives in general. If you have any healthy tips, pass them on!

Well, I really need to be doing laundry so I will fly out of here! Thanks for letting me chat with you a bit! Hugs! Terri Roy
